Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power. Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. Photovoltaic cells convert light into an electric current using the photovoltaic effect.
Exothermic welding system
Exothermic welding is a cost efficient method of making large or small numbers of high quality electrical connections. It is a simple, self-contained system that uses the high temperature reaction of powdered copper oxide and aluminium, within a mould, to form permanent electrical connections.
Catodic Protection System
Cathodic protection (CP) is a method of corrosion control that can be applied to buried and submerged metallic structures. It is normally used in conjunction with coatings and can be considered as a secondary corrosion control technique. The primary corrosion control method on any given structure is normally a coating system which can be between 50 and 99 % efficient depending upon age, type, method of installation, etc.
